Kuortane Sports Hotel - Kuortane

Bra boende för den som tycker om att vistas i naturen och sporta. Kuortane Sports Resort fungerar som idrottskola under skoltid. Det finns ett jättefint gym, massor med stigar i olika längder att vandra eller springa i. Badstranden är fin med grillplats och båtar som man kan hyra. Vi hyrde en enrumslägenhet med bra standard, i lägenheten fanns det egen bastu. Restaurangen på restaurangen på hotellet var bra, samt att det var dans varje kväll. Finländarna är ett dansande folk.

Excellent snow, skiing, swimming and playing badminton. Overall good and healthy food, Dont forget to tell if you are a rci member så you get the discount, they dont ask if you are. Terrible cleaning in the room, dirty sheets when we arrived, piles of dust under the beds, forgotten banana and empty bottles on the shelf.

A very nice and silent room after a lot of excercise. My hotelroom had also a sauna in it. I ate in the restaurant, although the room's kitchenette had all the must-have equipment. Closets for clothing, also one for drying your washed clothes.

As others have said this is a strange Holiday Club resort. The Holiday Club accommodation is a bolt-on to an Olympic Training Camp. Not that the other people here are all elite athletes - far from it.|The buffet restaurant is good value but the food is not great and the ambience resembles a school canteen.|We enjoyed using the resort bicycles to ride into the excellent town beach.|Other activities were hard to access and the excellent swimming pool complex was generally only open from 1700:to 2100.|Be warned that you need to register at the complex reception which is a long way away from the Holiday Club accommodation.|The rooms were modern and well-equipped. However we did not enjoy the single beds which resembled student dorms.|Now could we understand why such a resort made little attempt to communicate its information in English.|The resort complex is beautifully situated on the shores of a wonderful lake.

We spent a whole week at sports hotel and experienced that the place is not aimed for private sports holiday. They seem to focus on athlete groups or groups of supported holidays. | |Room:|The maintenance personnel needed to visit our hotel room five times (!) during the week mainly due to different electricity reasons/faults. The soundproofing was unfortunate in the hotel room and in consequence remote work was not convenient at all. ||Sports facilities:|The pool is closed Sundays and during the week days it is open only either 5pm-9pm or 7:30am-9am which does not allow to go swimming during the day or twice a day. |They do have written rules for the swimming hall but based on our experience during the week the rules are not supervised. |How you may train swimming if there are kids playing tag in the pool - also on the swimming lanes - and they suddenly appear and stay in the middle of the lane. |Or how do you relax at jacuzzi when some other kids played water wars in the area of special pools and threw water from the ice-cold pool (+8C!) with a big bucket, which did not hit their own group, but directly on our backs. In their rules the said area is only for people from 12 years.||Food:|The quality of buffet food was poor (salad was brownish, sausage is not my understanding of proper food for athletes etc) also when compared to three other Finnish sports centers where we have spent holiday during past two years. ||The room, sports facilities, service or food did not achieve our expectations which we had based on several holidays spent in other sports centers.|This is absolutely the place to avoid.

Vegaani ruoka loisti poissaolollaan koko viikon, vain kasvisruokaa jossa maitoa. Ensi kerralla taidamme mennä etelän lämpöön samalla rahalla.
